AnsMed Partners with Kaya ChildCare to Offer Free Health Screening for Kayayie Mothers and Their Children

AnsMed Partners with Kaya ChildCare for Free Health Screening in Ghana
Accra, Ghana – October 5, 2025:
AnsMed Home Care Limited, a leading provider of home health and caregiving services in Ghana, partnered with Kaya ChildCare (KCC), a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting children of Kayayie (head porter) mothers, to organize a free health screening and wellness outreach for mothers and their children.
The event, held on October 5, 2025, in Accra, brought together healthcare professionals from AnsMed Home Care and volunteers from Kaya ChildCare to deliver essential medical checks, education, and wellness support to one of Ghana’s most vulnerable communities.
Participants received a variety of free health services, including blood pressure checks, blood hemoglobin tests, malaria and typhoid screening, nutritional assessments, and general medical consultations. The outreach also offered health education sessions focused on hygiene, nutrition, mental well-being, and child health to encourage preventive care practices among families.
Supporting the Health of Kayayie Families
Speaking at the event, Mr. Prince Assandoh-Mensah, Managing Director of AnsMed Home Care Ltd., emphasized the company’s commitment to promoting community health and social well-being. He noted that AnsMed’s mission extends beyond home care services—it includes reaching underserved populations and ensuring that healthcare is accessible to all.
“As a company that cares for people across all walks of life, partnering with Kaya ChildCare to support Kayayie mothers and their children is deeply aligned with our mission—to provide quality, affordable, and compassionate health services to all,” said Mr. Assandoh-Mensah.
He added that such collaborations help reduce health inequalities by addressing the needs of those who often face barriers to medical care due to financial, social, or cultural constraints. The initiative reflects AnsMed’s vision of empowering communities through health education, early intervention, and preventive care.
The event also provided Kayayie mothers with an opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge on managing their families’ health and nutrition. Many expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a timely and life-changing effort.
Collaboration for Greater Impact
Kaya ChildCare’s Center Manger, Ms. Evelyn Kwofie, expressed heartfelt gratitude to AnsMed Home Care for its partnership and for bringing professional healthcare services to families who need them most. The collaboration, she said, is a demonstration of what can be achieved when the public and private sectors unite for the common good.
“This partnership has created real impact. It has shown these mothers and children that they are not forgotten, and that their health and well-being matter,” she noted.
Both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the partnership and expanding similar outreach programs to other communities in Ghana. By combining medical expertise, community engagement, and educational empowerment, the initiative stands as a model for inclusive and sustainable healthcare delivery.
AnsMed’s Commitment to Community Health
Since its establishment in 2016, AnsMed Home Care Ltd. has been committed to improving healthcare delivery in Ghana through a range of home-based nursing and physiotherapy services, professional caregiver training, and community outreach initiatives.
